Why I Love My Wife
So, we aren't buying a car at the moment. We are now cutting down a tree and getting rid of the tree that fell last year. Yep, things change that quickly. We should have an estimate on the tree removal shortly, as in today. I was very impressed when I called the first guy that was recommended to me and he said he would go out to our house and take a look, today. I was rather taken aback by that. Guess the economy really is in a bad enough state that if someone calls you asking for a service to be performed, that the person gets right to it. I'm just hoping he says something less than 1500.

Its Been A While
Yep, its been a while since I posted on here. Everytime I hear people complain about what I type, I tend to rethink what I'm saying on here, and this time it took me longer than normal to come back to it. I'll probably continue to type what I want to type and just not worry about it.
It looks like Susan and I are in the hunt for a new car. This all started last Thursday as we are driving home from work. See, we drive and not exactly the best part of time. Don't get me wrong, its not the worse, by far, but you don't exactly want to have to pull over at any given time either. Well, we were driving home Tuesday and all the gauges stopped working all of the sudden, then all the dashboard lights came on, the radio stopped working, and the engine was about to die. Just as Susan had called her Dad and was telling him all this, we hit a bump. All the sudden, everything just started working again. Well, we take it into the shop Friday. And, guess what, much like people do with me and computers, they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. The battery was fine, the engine checked fine, the altenator was fine. Everything is just working great. So now, Susan and I both have this thought in the back of our heads that the car isn't exactly reliable anymore. When we have plans to drive down to the beach in April and to South Carolina probably in July, we kind of need a car that isn't going to worry us the whole way. So we started looking today. I'm leaning towards a Honda Accord, because of their record and Consumer Reports love them. We were also looking at a Toyota Highlander, but once we actually saw the price on one, that thought was changed rather quickly. There is an Accord at Patty Peck Honda that we will probably end up going to visit. It would fit in well with the color scheme, grey car replacing the grey Taurus. Its also a 6 Cylinder and has 4 doors which is a big plus, and no sun roof, another big plus. There is no telling what we will get for Susan's car, but at this point, it doesn't really matter, we are pretty much going to do this regardless, unless someone can come up with a fool proof plan to make the Taurus better all of the sudden. The only thing bad with this plan is, of course, we have to take the money out of the money market fund. Don't get me wrong, its a great feeling knowing we have the money in the money market fund to cover this, but it would be nicer if we didn't have to spend it. But ce la vi.
