Not too much longer now!!!! We have started making the next FAN list. Of course there are 2 trips on the list, one for Disney and one for Ft. Morgan.

We are very close now!!!

20K

Today is the magical day. We are under the 20K mark in imaginary land!!! After a couple (ok 4) days of not so good solitaire (the survival tournament messed me up on how to plan and I finally remembered again) I have turned it around and cashed out 900+ in 3 days. Which gets us to the magical number of being officially unoffically below the 20K mark, we are now sitting at 19,989!!!!

Go us!!!

I'm thinking we could pay this thing off the last week of July. I mentioned to Susan if there was any way to go ahead and send the last 5,000 from the Vanguard account and she basically said she didn't know how we couldn't....LOL. So if we can stay at a pace of paying 5,000 per month through July, then add the 5,000 from the Vanguard account that last week of July, we will be done!!! Totally debt free!!!!

20K

Well, as of tomorrow, the mortgage will officially be below the 30K mark. We will actually be looking the 20Ks in the face :-) Even with sending the IRS an insane amount of money, we should be able to pay the mortgage off in September, or October at the latest. It would be kind of nice to pay that very last payment on Susan and I's second anniversary, but it would be even nicer if we can figure out a way to pay it even earlier. We have come up with some crazy numbers before....it would be nice to have another 11K month in solitaire, more than ever, but I don't know if that will ever happen again without some people leaving the site. Believe me, I'm not complaining, I just use to be able to win more. But dang, I'm still averaging close to 100 dollars a day, so again, I'm not complaining at all!!!!

Mortgage Payment

Just made the house payment that is due on January 1, 2008. Got to be an extra 2,229.30. That took another 9 months off the original payoff amount.

Beside that, not much changed:

Original Mortgage Payoff: June 2018 - minus 9 months
Official Mortgage Payoff: August 2009 - stayed the same
Dream Mortgage Payoff: August 2008 - Up one month

The dream mortgage payoff should go back down once we get some solitaire checks in. One of those checks is on its way in the total of 950 dollars.

So after taking into account December's paychecks, the new imaginary balance on the mortgage is:

42,219.

Yep, 44K and 43K gone!!! I love being able to take off ks everytime we get paid.

45K Gone

And in further developments, the 45K mark is now gone :-)

That makes 6 marks off the board this month, so a little bit better than normal. I was hoping to get to this point by the end of the month to be able to have a shot of having the balance of the mortgage be below 40K before the end of the year, so going into 2008 we will owe something in the 39K range.

Another Mortgage Payment

So we got the next Paypal in a lot more quickly than I had expected, so I got to pay another mortgage payment today. Today's payment was 1304.05.

What this does for the numbers:

We have now paid 9639.84 towards the mortgage this month with 9036.36 extra going straight to principal. Kind of funny to think that we have paid off 1/5th of what we owe on the mortgage in one month. I keep on telling Susan that I don't know how much longer this will last and she keeps telling me that it just keeps "happening", doesn't it? LOL I guess she does have a point. For the last 3 months I keep saying there is no way, and every month we keep on paying more than we did in the previous month.

Original Mortgage Payoff: February 2019 - minus 7 months
Official Mortgage Payoff Date: August 2009 - Stayed the same
Dream Mortgage Payoff Date: July 2008 - Stayed the same

Not too bad of a month, not bad at all. All I can say right now is....c'mon Survival Touranment!!!!

Mortgage payment

Got to pay another 1377.07 to the mortgage yesterday. That brings the extra paid this month to 7732.32. Not too bad, still wish I would have won that Survival Tournament!!!!

Original Mortgage Payoff: July 1, 2019 - Down 6 months
Official Payoff Mortgage Date: August 1, 2009 - Down 1 month
Dream Payoff Mortgage Date: July 1, 2008 - Down 1 month

Finally got the dream payoff back down to July again!!!!

46K Gone

46K is now gone. We are officially in the 45,000 range....wooohooo!!!!

Monday, November 12, 2007

47K

Yep, 4 days later, 47K is GONE!!!! Solitaire has been very good today, cashed out 500 so far today, so that has lead to the 47K mark being gone very quickly. I like it, I like it a lot!!!!

48K

48K gone!!!! Another 1000 out the door. Only 47K more.....we are getting there. 3000 marked off the board this month.

Mortgage update

Ok, here are the latest numbers on the mortgage, haven't posted this in a bit, so I thought I would go ahead and do it.

Real balance: 50,826.84
Imaginary balance: 48,260.00

Still hoping to pay this off in either April, or May, depending on the tax situation which we should know more about in either February or March....depending on the tax situation, we might be able to pay off the last 10,000 with a payment coming from the Vanguard account. It will be sad to see the Vanguard balance that low again, but it will come with a paid off house, so that's defenitely not a bad thing!!!

Mortgage Update

Haven't had one of these in the last couple of weeks, but of course we got paid last night.

After paying the extra from the paychecks and some Paypal that had found its way into the CU account, we were able to pay another 3430.23 extra on the December payment. We also received a notice today that the big payment from the Survival tournament came into the Paypal account so there should be another payment by the end of the week that will kick the extra over 6000. Not bad in a month that we had so many extra expenses that we were worried we wouldn't be able to send that much extra.

Back to last month though, we sent an extra 8534.85 to the mortgage as well as the regular payment. It the 3rd highest amount of debt we have paid off since March (when I started keeping track).

Ok, for the dates:

Original Payoff House Date: January 2021 - Down 16 months
Official Payoff House Date: October 2009 - Down 1 month
Dream Payoff House Date: August 2008 - Up 1 month

The Dream Payoff House Date went up one month because its set at 6000 extra a month and we've only been able to pay what we had in the CU account at the moment. Hopefully, with the next Paypal coming very soon, that will go back down to July 2008.

51K

Yep, Igot to mark the 51K off the board today. That makes 10 mark offs this month :-) We are now sitting in the 50K and haven't been able to get rid of 10K of the mortgage this month. Defenitely not too bad.

53K and 52K

Forgot to mention that with the survival tournament winnings, both 53K and 52K went out with a flash. We are down to 51,210 as of this morning :-)
